In 1840, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were gifted a 1,000-pound cheese wheel. This colossal block of cheese weighed over 500 kg and was made from the milk of 750 cows.
The queen graciously accepted the gift, but the farmers who presented the cheese later requested it to be exhibited. Sadly, after the exhibit concluded, the Queen refused to take it back.
